So hello there. I heard this game, bored with the Diablo 3 and wanted to try this. Just downloaded and installed the game this MORNING. And I'm still patching... My connection is good because I just downloaded the game with 1mbps, but the patching is ..... Anyway here is my problem. I started the patching, waited for one and an half hour, at something like %48 I got an error "The patch was downloaded a patch file list and a diffrent bla bla bla". I was so angry and came to this forums, found a solution which everyone was saying its working, tried it, and my patching started again from the beggining. The again after like 2 hours, I got this ******* error again. What is wrong with this patching?

Amazing, I just reopen the patching and it started from the beggining again. WTF...

If its onyly problem with update then try this metod:

do all things what lunarrice said, but onyly from point 1 to 4.

Now lunch "Mpatcher" in game folder. It should update game files, and Xtrap.

Now just lunch ClientLuncher. It cheack files, and you can play.

It should work, but if problem is in update files. If it doesn`t work i don`t known.


P.S.

You can copy ALL files from other computer, where you instal game where it update complete, but you need to instal it to IDENTICAL place. Then if you install to: "D:\Games\Rusty Heart" in next computer this need to be "D:\Gry\Rusty Heart" not "D:\Gry\Rusty Hearts". Even 1 letter make game don`t work. and if you do that method remember you have files in "C:\Perfect World Entertainment\Rusty Hearts\Launcher" too. then better install to other disc than C.

In all methode game need to check files. If you have some error there try other methode, but if all don`t work, dunno... For me it stuck at 100% in file check (windows 7), but before game was "Reborn" i use 2nd methode and it work fine. try it.

Thanks for your answer but I don't even know if I want to play this game anymore. It was looking good but with this much fail at the installation, I can't think about the game's itself. At this moment I'm cutting my connection when I got this error, then stopping the patching then reopening. Seems like working but I hope I can play the game anytime soon lol. im having the same exact problem and so is my friend and every time we do it it says the same thing but whenever we restart out computer and do it again ir re oped the patcher it gets a little farther and does it again and eventually got through it but it took about 2 days just to patch it for patch 1 so i dont know what to say but if anything else helps please do tell because 2 days for patch 1 is too much i dont know about patch 2, it gets to about 48% then gotta restart, then 52% and it just goes so slow and i gotta redo it every time it gets out of hand but that works fr me and im tired of it

They supposedly are going to finally put up a newer game download at some point in the unknown future. The one you got is ancient and the patching process has been buggy for all this time. If you scroll back through the pages of this support forum you'll find many of this sort of thread, in some of them people just give up and quit.

Honestly speaking though look at all other other complaints people have been making about bugs that are in the game right now. It's about as messed up once you get in as it is for you now. After the big new update (Reborn) the servers were flooded with new and returning people. Now it looks as vacant as before Reborn due to all those bugs that takes them ages to fix.

My best suggestion is one I've made to others, put this game aside and come back in a couple months or so to see if it is in any better shape than it is now or for that matter still here at all. It just wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if on Monday it was announced the RH servers will be shut down for good and is that really the kind of game you want to start playing? It's a really fun game when it works, but PWE has been doing such a craptacular job of things that it doesn't work as well as it should most of the time. For instance before Reborn we had another really troublesome bug (game wouldn't save your progress, commonly referred to as rollbacks) that took about four months or more to finally seem to be fix.
